Hat ∅ 5-15 cm, very fleshy, rounded-convex, then prostrate, slightly depressed in the center, dense, with the edge bent down. The skin is smooth, thin-fibrous, then bare, sometimes cracking, dull orange, without zones, almost dry.
The flesh is whitish, dense, but fragile, it tastes sweet, the smell of young mushrooms is pleasant, the old ones resemble herring or crabs. Milky juice is plentiful, sticky, white, quickly becoming grayish-brown, its taste is bitter-resinous.
Leg 4-10 cm tall, ∅ 1-3 cm, velvety, thick, strong, cylindrical and slightly tapering downwards. The color is the same as the cap or lighter.
The plates are adherent or slightly descending, fleshy, narrow, frequent, slightly branched. Color whitish with pink or yellowish tinge. When touched, bright brown spots are formed.
Spore powder whitish or light ocher, spores 8.5 microns, round, mesh, amyloid.
